WWG Hammer Head
$46.99Select optionsWild West Guns has been leading innovation in modern lever-action rifles for years. In Alaska, where it gets very cold, gloves make it difficult to work the standard lever on your rifle. That’s how our Big Loop Lever was born, and why we later created this Hammer Head, an extension that provides a much greater purchase on the hammer for easy cocking of your rifle, even while wearing gloves.
The WWG Hammer Head is a great accessory for those with scoped rifles and is available in blue and stainless. It is self-tightening and can be tightened without tools in the field or on the workbench. The Hammer Head is CNC machined from the highest quality stainless or chrome-alloy steel and heat-treated to offer years of dependable service in the harshest of environments.
Please note that although the WWG Hammer Head is considered to be a drop-in part, due to irregularities in Marlin’s manufacturing over past years, some parts may require professional gunsmith fitting to function correctly.
Also, please be aware that these will not fit pre-safety Marlins.

Easy to install kit. The elimination of the trigger flop is fantastic, the trigger functions very well nice clean break. The bear proof ejector really stiffened up the action but after about 20 rnds it was nice and smooth.

I have installed the Happy Tune Kit in all of my Marlin Lever Rifles (7). Much better trigger than the factory Marlin trigger. I love the Marlin Lever Gun and this kit adds all the “Just Right” changes you will want to make. The quality from WWG is very good.

I agree with the previous reviewer. The trigger is an incredible upgrade, no more flop, the break is awesome now. The aluminum follower is what it is, not cheap plastic. Can’t say the new follower really preforms better at the moment but I’m sure it’s going to save me a headache down the road. The ejector really does make the action stiff, really hard to cycle. Haven’t had a chance to put some live rounds through it yet but I’m sure it’ll break in fairly quick.

Last fall I bought three new Marlin 1894s: 1894CB, 1894CSBL, and 1894SBL. The 1894 had a 12 pound trigger that was awful. So, I got on the phone and called the Las Vegas store to order the Happy Trigger Tune-up kit. During the three days it took to arrive I took the time to take the gun apart to smooth up all contact points and smooth up machining marks. Installation was a piece of cake. The new trigger put is a consistent 3.5 pounds. As a result I purchased this kit for the other two. The results were just as good for them. The new ejectors took a bit of time to smooth out. The kits were as advertised and a great product.

Just installed the kit on a Marlin 336XLR. The only issue that I had was that the ejector must have been on the high side of the tolerance for width and the key way in my bolt was probably on the low side. Extremely tight fit, I could not even get the bolt in without some persuasion,, so I used a honing stone on the ejector to thin it out and within a few minutes I had a great fit and it cycles beautifully. I will definitely add the same to my SBL, fantastic trigger pull.

I got my tune kit in the mail a few days ago and was finally able to install it on my Marlin 1895SBL. The parts felt solid and were easy to install. The trigger pull is so much better now. The break is crisp and predictable, and there is no more play in the trigger. I am confident the magazine follower will last forever. The ejector is a huge improvement as well. I had no issues cycling the action as others have stated. I’m very excited to get back to the range and really test the new components out. Thanks for making an excellent product!

I accidentally ordered this without reading the description that mentions fitment with the new ruger made marlin’s however, with some light sanding and polishing of the extractor and tube follower it all dropped in very well and haven’t had any problems with reliability after my hand fitting. the trigger was the best part of the kit, brought my trigger from 5-5.5lbs down to 2-2.5lbs according to my wheeler trigger gauge.

Saw a video on the trigger and ejector upgrade and I saw nothing but good comments about your parts

I live in Alaska so I called Wild West guns in Anchorage, AK. They had a kit in stock and told me the ejector had to be fitted on my Ruger Marlin. They told me they would fit it before they shipped it which they did. After receiving the kit all parts seem to be very well made. I installed the parts the ejector dropped right in. After installation the action was a little stiff. Took it out shot a few rounds through it the action was smooth again. I was glad to get the aluminum follower plastic doesn’t do very well in alaska. My trigger pull went down to about 2.5 pounds. The people at Wild West Guns did a good job. The product was well worth the money

Installed this kit into a fairly recently purchased Ruger-Marlin 1895 Trapper. Everything went in smoothly, extractor dropped right in without issue. I must have gotten lucky, because this Trapper had a very nice crisp trigger from the factory, I was impressed, especially for it being a new S/S firearm. The WWG trigger probably has a slightly better break, it is difficult to tell because it really was great already. (I worked in full-service firearms shop for 8 years and I am picky about trigger feel). Either way, the trigger feel is still far beyond adequate for a S/S lever gun. It’s for outdoors defense primarily. And just to stop the flop was worth it!
The OEM trigger did look better, had cleaner finished appearance, but that is not a big deal, just an observation I found interesting.
Loved every piece in this kit, a bit pricey but certainly worth it in the long run.

So far not a single flaw or hiccup. Worth every penny for this little gem 💎.
If you’re hesitant about buying…..don’t be. If you’re a hunter and the beast you’re hunting can make YOU its next meal ? It’s cheap insurance to know your gun will go bang when you need it to.
